ShunTV was, indeed, a great community. The discussion there was always as important as the torrents they tracked. I'll note, on the other hand, that it still exists, though in a truncated form. They don't offer as many of their own releases as in the past, and I don't think they run their own tracker, but most of the same players are active and the discussion continues:
