Are they [not just Sum et al and Baker, but the White House and the BEA] using the same algorithm for calculating profit/wage share and the discrepancies in the numbers in the respective tables are simply the result of differences in calendar choice or are they working off different algorithms for calculating the profit/wage share? Tables 1, 3 and 4 in the Sum piece are quite different from what Dean's getting in tables 1 and 2; just look at the differences for the year 2000, for instance.
