I don't believe the Sopranos are included on the schedule of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) unfortunately. Unfortunately this is the middle of the not-rating part of the year, when there is only total crap on TV. No Sopranos.

However I have picked up a couple of novels to get me through the weekend. I have Larry Niven's Ringworld's Children, which can't fail to be an improvement on the awful 3rd novel in the series. Surely? Also Colin Wilson's Spider World - Shadowland, co-incidently also #4 of a Sci-Fi series. And last but not least, Iain Banks Culture novel Excession. Nothing terribly adventurous, but it should afford me a pleasant escape from the woes of this era on your awful little planet, for the next couple of days.

Well, I think my work here is done. Beam me up Larry.
