It was reassuring to see Jay Rockefeller's comments in today's NYT <http://www.nytimes.com/2007/01/20/washington/20intel.html? _r=1&adxnnl=1&oref=slogin&adxnnlx=1169305987-oxUEJzcCSch5VN8vvp5UOw>. But I alternate between thinking that the Dems are acting as some relatively sane grownup leash on the pres, and thinking that they're just motivated by institutional narcissism. Let's hope it's the former.
