Top Vietnamese rock band Da Vang (Yellow Complexion) will take part in the ASEAN Rocks Festival to be held in Singapore from January 28 to February 1. The festival will have the participation of ten bands from ASEAN countries, as this was held to mark the 40th anniversary of ASEAN.

Performance of bands Wicked Aura Electrico from Singapore, Bamboo from the Philippines and Dmedley from Brunei will open the festival. Da Vang and the Clash from Thailand will perform on January 31.

Other bands, including The Cell from Laos, Samson from Indonesia, Phyu Phyu Hywa & U Moe Naing from Myanmar, Amok from Malaysia and Coconut from Cambodia, will also give their special performances at the festival.

This is the first abroad performing trip of Da Vang with members: singer and guitarist Nguyen Dat, guitarist Hoang Tuan, guitarist Le Duy, drummer Le Duc and bass guitarist Vo Dinh.

According to the band's head Nguyen Dat, they will perform eight songs - Tam Guong Ky Dieu (Marvelous Mirror), Bach Dang Giang (Bach Dang river), Pha Vo Nhung Buc Tuong (Break the walls), Co Don (Lonely), S.O.S, Circle of friends, Ocean of love, and Come together.

Da Vang, formed in 1990, was the runner-up at the 1991 Pop-Rock festival held in Ho Chi Minh City. Its Nguyen Dat and Hoang Tuan won the Best Guitar Players award.

It is considered the country's top rock band after Buc Tuong (The Wall) disbanded last year.
