I told plenty of people that the first web bubble wouldn't last. My most profound realization at the time was that most of those dot-com companies were essentially publishers and I knew that few people got rich being a publisher.

Even worse if the chief product of your dot-com was online brochureware.

Well, I've landed an interview next week with a major corporation here in KC. The position is kind of outside of my experience, so it will be interesting to find out why I caught their attention.

By the way, we were talking last week about how shitty employers are in terms of responding to applicants. This employer has already sent me a postcard thanking me for my application. No employer does that!
