Without a doubt, the main coalition and organizations which have had the hubris to think they were "leading" the anti-war movement [sic] have been a total, absolute failure. Using any measuring stick.

What has been accomplished by the anti-war movements has happened outside the orbit of the main coalitions. Cindy Sheehan and her public opposition to Bush. The February 15, 2003 global day of protests, which were modeled on the anti-globalization movement. The shut down and disruption of San Francisco in the week following the invasion. The many local actions against recruiting, war contractors, military facilities and so on. The role that online alternative media has played in exposing millions of people to anti-war views.
