Well, I conducted a poll of 1199 membership asking permission to get self-edumucated and read big hevvy books. I was given the proper dispensation, but only on condition I redouble my daytime jihad against the ivory tower.

No, seriously since you asked, I think we've each read crying of lot 49 which is pretty accessible no matter who you are. Gravity's Rainbow on the other hand is pretty innaccessible no matter who you are. I do love my Pynchon tho. I am amazed at how shocked you are that antioch types are scoffed at! Perhaps a little unfairly, but, here we are- its the world we live in. You gotta get with it to get with it.
