I'm sure it's to make the US look like humanitarians,
just like you see naked women in African all the time
in the press, without any qualms, but never a naked
white gal in the US, because that also makes the West
look humanitarian.

An old Sociology teacher was the first to point out to
me how there are varying standards for depictions of
nudity etc. depending on the race & nationality of the
person being photographed.
