June 20 (Reuters) - U.S. chemical maker DuPont (DD.N: Quote, Profile, Research) said it has started legal actions in four countries against local companies for allegedly infringing on its patents for non-ozone-depleting refrigerants.
The refrigerants are used in air conditioning and heat pump applications and DuPont has patents for them in various countries, including China, India, Malaysia and Spain, the company said in a statement. (Reporting by Saumyadeb Chakrabarty in Bangalore)
