Sorry, but I have discovered youtube and the surprisingly large amount of Soviet-era music to be found on there. This is so cool.

Here is Russian pop music goddess Alla Pugacheva way back in 1976 singing a poem by Marina Tvetaeva put to music on (I guess) Soviet TV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6M33FJpbq7o

Here she is with her daughter (who is now a star in her own right) back in 1983 on Soviet TV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NGF8IXkI92g&mode=related&search=

And here she is today, the "primadonna of the Russian stage," as the Russian tabloids refer to her. The male performer is Maxim Galkin, who is a truly brilliant comic impersonator. He is a genius, though you cannot see it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA148OvAQJU

Hey, and here we have her recently divorced ex-husband, the world's most famous Bulgarian Filip Kurkorov singing with, ahem, well-endowed singer Masha Rasputina. I think this came out in 2002-2003: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQvRfVwli5g

That is enough PR for the "star family" I have done for today. :)

Quite a difference there (and I ain't talking about physical appearance).
