Que(e)rying Islamophobia: Race, Sexuality, and Imperialism by Out-FM

Tune in to Out-FM <http://www.outfm.org/> this Monday the 12th of March at 11:00 AM on Pacifica Radio WBAI at 99.5 FM and at <http://www.wbai.org/>.

Brad Taylor hosts a discussion with CUNY- Staten Island Professor Saadia Toor* and Kourosh Shemirani of Qiam (Queer Iranian Alliance)** stemming from the discussion event hosted by Professor Toor at CUNY's Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies in fall 2006, called "Que(e)rying Islamophobia: Race, Sexuality and Imperialism." Using excerpts from the conference, live discussion and listener call-ins, Toor, Shemirani, and Taylor will examine the roots and effects of Islamophobia in the context of Bush administration military threats against Iran.
