Exactly. As opposed to Capitalists who hold vast differences in income and wealth as an ideal that extends from inherent elitism. Thus Capitalism has a right and a left, and egalitarian/non-egalitarian doesn't quite divide it.

And further, there are Socialists who have criticized Vanguardism and predicted the failure of the State to "wither away."

Thus, Communism has a right and a left, and once again, egalitarian/non-egalitarian doesn't quite divide it.

If you look at it the way I proposed, taking 'right' to mean the belief that economic power is an extension of political power, and 'left' to mean the belief that political power is an extension of economic power you can start to create a coherent argument starting with either the right or the left point of view as point of departure.

I find it a useful way to look at it anyway.
