Apropos of Wojtek's 'I will be sipping wine in my modest middle class 
apartment, looking through the window and waiting for all that brouhaha 
to die down,' see the classic Cuban  film, 'Memories of 
Underdevelopment' ('Memorias del Subdesarrollo' in the original Spanish)

It has the best depiction I've seen yet of the intellectual observing a 
revolution that's taking place all around him
