One of the many things that most Marxists -- and secular leftists in
general -- do not understand is that social revolution is emotion in
motion and that intellectuals who do not know how to push emotional
hot buttons don't get to harness emotion in motion to their political
projects.  A revolution needs its objet petit a, like the Shah of
Iran.
