In my capacity as an official black person, heir to the mocha throne, I hereby declare the South to be the more racist of the territories of the American Star Empire.
My evidence is admittedly anecdotal but no less damning because of that.
Incident One: I can't use my turbo and low profile tires dammit!
While visiting my cousin the glad handing, poker playing pharma rep in Greensboro, North Carolina, I found myself driving behind an old woman at the wheel of a big iron American car from a bygone age of hula hoops and fire bombed S.E Asian cities.
Driving. Very. Slowly.
Why was she driving an American car? Why was it old? And why so very, very slowly? I'll tell you why my creaky socialist friends...she wanted to keep the black man down. Down to 35 MPH. That's the speed the white man likes...for the black man!
Incident Two: An exquisitely elaborate plan...for death!
The small town Georgia diner I visited during an extended business trip seemed friendly enough: the coffee flowed as freely as water down a waterfall over which flows water - freely. The smiles were friendly, perhaps even genuine. But there was a dark undertow of sinister doings and machinations clouding this 'bless yo heart' idyll.
Why was the waitress constantly trying to feed me bacon? I don't want bacon. No.
