I had to disguise myself as a stacked blonde to escape from the horrible oppression that is Zolotaya Vobla.
I really like Vobla (actually there are four different Voblas). It's a weird combination of a German beerhall and a Soviet cafeteria, with ads from the tsarist era and NEP on the walls, and live music, usually covers of Soviet rock and pop stars, the Beatles, the Police and La Bamba. I do strongly suspect that their Baltika beer on tap is actually derived from petrochemicals, since as we all know Russia has nothing else.
