The first American Film Week opens today in Hanoi and will debut in Ho Chi Minh City next Monday
The week of screenings was organised by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the body that presents the Oscars each year, based in Hollywood.
Some of the films to be shown include Erin Brokovich, LA Confidential, The Quite American, Children of Men, Wrestling with Angels and Field of Dreams.
Films are set to play at the National Cinema Centre in Hanoi and the Nguyen Trai and Galaxy Cinemas in Ho Chi Minh City.
A limited number of free tickets are available and can be picked up at any of the thatres.
