A delegation of Israeli doctors arrived in Vietnam to give free medical check-ups to residents of the central province of Quang Binh from May 13-18. Vietnam Fatherland Front Vice President Le Truyen received the medical team in Hanoi on May 11.
According to Israeli Ambassador Effie Ben-Matityau, the week of free check-ups is part of a programme to mark the 59th anniversary of Israel's National Day.
The 80-member delegation, including 20 doctors, will also present gifts such as medicine, rice, pigs, clothes, books and toys worth VND 750 million to seven poor communes in the Minh Hoa district. (VNA)
