Thanks for the Mary McHugh photo from the NY Times and the info on the Adams grave sculpture, the latter of which I'd never seen but now want to read more about. The McHugh photo's composition isn't unlike some French Symbolist artwork from the 1800s, to me, esp. the obsession with tragic women like Ophelia apparent in the old stuff. In other words, aesthetically it's a nice shot. The scene portrayed isn't so nice. But let's not forget that nugget of wisdom given to us from George Bush, Jr.: "War creates trauma."
