Terrorists like Campbell's visit with Chavez

Naomi Campbell's Halloween visit to Hugo Chavez may have garnered her some unwanted praise - from terrorists.

The supermodel said, "I'm not here to be political" as she met with the left-wing Venezuelan president, though she reportedly said, "I hate Bush" when she was in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Abu Nasser, chief of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades terror group in the Old City of Nablus in the West Bank, said:"The visit presents a slap in the face to Bush and his government and his policy. The fact that she respects Chavez, and his ideals, can bring more people to follow this step."

Jihad Jaara, alleged leader of the 2002 siege of Bethlehem's Church of the Nativity, said he appreciates "the courage of Campbell and her colleagues who visited Chavez and expressed their solidarity. This is a very courageous step that proves that the opposition of American policy is not only outside the U.S. but also in Bush's own home."

Chavez has been skewered by conservatives for his Bush-bashing, and praised by liberals for providing low-cost or free heating oil to poor families in the Bronx and other American inner cities.

Nasser and Jaara made their comments to Brooklyn-born Aaron Klein, now Jerusalem bureau chief for WorldNetDaily.com. Klein is the author of the book "Schmoozing with Terrorists," in which he translates liberal celebrities' comments into Arabic and asks terrorists what they think of them.

Abu Abdullah, a leader of Hamas' military wing, gave a shoutout to Richard Gere to Klein, crediting Gere in part for the group's landslide victory after the actor's 2005 commercial urging Palestinians to vote. "We thank Richard Gere," Abdullah said, "for his efforts in the historic election of the Palestinian Islamic resistance."

Klein also rang up Ala Senakreh, West Bank chief of the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, about Sean Penn. Senakreh said said he feels "deep respect for Penn."

But terrorists were flummoxed when asked about Rosie O'Donnell. While they agreed with her criticism of treatment of prisoners at Guantanamo Bay, they'd never heard of her. Guess they never watched "The View."
