Living in DC, I find Baltimore to be a good blue-collar alternative when DC gets to be too much. The Inner Harbor is a development nightmare (think Hard Rock Cafe), but other sections are still interesting. It's a weird city -- gritty and gothic -- with some of the worst ghettos I have ever seen, but there are highlights. > Date: Mon, 19 Nov 2007 14:48:12 -0600> From: chuck at mutualaid.org> To: lbo-talk at lbo-talk.org> Subject: Re: [lbo-talk] Wish I Was In Dixie (Re: The North's burdenof enlightening the South (was Re: The "NA> > Doug Henwood wrote:> > On Nov 19, 2007, at 3:03 PM, Alex Hogan wrote:> > > > > >>Baltimore which is a lot more Philly> > > > > > "Philadelphia is like three Baltimores." - Adolph Reed> > ___________________________________> > http://mailman.lbo-talk.org/mailman/listinfo/lbo-talk> > I hate Baltimore.
