That's even if the poorest, weakest, and most vulnerable sectors in the US depend on labor law, wlefare, etc. supports. It's worth wrecking all that to bring the troops home, something Paul claims he wants along with many other paleo-conservatives, like those of the Buchanan ilk, who also get neo-nazi support, and who also ostensibly want a "republic, not an empire."
I hope folks on Social Security who support Ron Paul are making sure they send a good chunk of their checks to the good doctor's campaign! He needs the $$$. And I bet unlike when he was an US govt-trained doctor (USAF flight surgeon), and refused Medicare patients' money due to his sterling Libertarian principles, he wouldn't turn down *that* money, even if it ultimately came from a program he'd see consigned to history. Not because it rewards servants of Empire, but because it ain't the market, which is God.
