Bollinger IS rude!

I think Chomsky called Saddam a monster back in the 1980s when he was our friend.

"Sucks" is not an analytical term, but given your apologetics, it may be an apt remonder taht even someone with a big brain, a large vocabulary, a lot of capacity for critical thinking, and the potential to grasp nuance, can nonetheless advocate views that are just (this is another not very analytical term) wacko.

I dunno whether left discourse is dumber than it used to be. I recall the days when a lot of M-L chitcat of a pretty unbearable sort was in vogue, for example. But it's also dumb and childish to say, you are either With Us or Against Us and You MUST CHOOSE.
