Another docu about 80s punk -- I think everyone must be writing a book about that now, or making a movie about the good old days, or something -- but this one might have some teeth to it: A documentary about Crass (1977-1984), "There Is No Authority But Yourself":

That trailer is not bad at all. If it weren't for stuff like that I doubt I'd have the political views I do now. You can imagine in the late 80s as a youngster hearing stuff like Fine Young Cannibals and Roxette on the radio 24/7, then stumbling across Crass lyrics like the kind in the trailer above. Absolutely mind-blowing. Paradigm rattling.

Also, Austin-based writer and punk rocker Lance Hahn (of J Church) passed away at age 40. He was writing about anarcho-punk when he passed on Oct. 12th. His band J Church, which started in San Fran, was an extremely intelligent, earnest, political-ish band, as well. The last piece he was writing about the anarchist punk band The Mob is here:
