Hmm, I dunno -- last time I checked, I was about a quart low on the milk of 
human kindness.  And let us not ignore the renowned counsel of Al Capone:  
"You can get further with a kind word and a gun than you can with just a 
kind word."

BTW, I have calculated that this thread, in dog years, is now 144 years old. 

  Humankind may or may not be the most empathic of creatures, but it is 
certainly the most long-winded.
