Wikipedia notes that "Petraeus did not see combat before his 2003 deployment to Iraq." But get a load of the ribbons -- what the military used to call "fruit salad" -- on Petraeus's chest! You'd think the guy had thrown the Wehrmacht out of France single-handedly. Do they now hand out massive military honors for being a career suck-up?
To think that Americans used to ridicule Soviet generals for being overly medal-bedecked. To show that Petraeus is no anomaly in his wall-to-wall decorations, take a look at the gleaming display that graces the manly chest of Gen.
