This adds an interesting coda to the David Enders report on the Anbar strategy posted by Nick a few days ago:

where Enders found that he was almost never in the country. No wonder!
FWIW, he also came across in Enders's report as a con man -- he said he was "leader of all the tribes" and yet Enders couldn't find another sheikh who'd heard of him.
I guess maybe Bush will have to delete the line from tonight's speech about how the Anbar strategy shows the future and how he saw it with his own eyes just last week. That PR meeting last week seems to have doomed the guy.
