You do live here, right? In Ohio? What secular liberal democratic government are you speaking of? Did you mean Canada, rather than the U.S? The country where the president wasn't "appointed by god" in his mind?

The fact that Iran gives out free condoms means they're somehow "better" the the U.S.? Can I open an BDSM club in Tehran or Birjand now or is that forbidden still? Can I print hardcore porn and sell it at stores? Can my wife wear shorts and a t-shirt while walking down the street with ABSOLUTELY NO FEAR of government approved harassment and/or incarceration? Can I serve wine at a party without risking 74 lashes and time in prison? I take it you would be willing to trade the secular freedoms I mention above (plus a host of others) in the U.S. for free condoms and sex education that mentions pleasuring women?

Your criticisms of the U.S. only reinforce MY position. Were it not for the interference of the religious we in the U.S would have not only BDSM clubs but free condoms and probably free abortion on demand through Medicaid for those in need.

You incorrectly label historical materialism as a religion but that misuses the term religion to the point of making it meaningless. It is not a religious belief. It does not contain supernatural beliefs and professes no absolute divine truth. It contains no priest class (irrespective of what some individuals may think of themselves) and demands no tribute. It makes no mention of an afterlife. If historical materialism is a religion then all beliefs are religious, a nonsensical idea.
