To use Dennis R's favorite metaphor, I think we need a hobbit approach
here. We can't attack Sauron in open combat. However, the more
socialist-inspired enclaves we build and expand--e.g., public
infrastructure like libraries and schools, open source software,
employer owned companies, coops--the less workers have to face big
capitalist employers. Granted, this kind of sneaky indirect attack on
capitalism that will take generations to come to fruition, if it ever
does.
