financial reasons (to lower their taxes), but mainly for political reasons.
In the current system they control the level of hc benefits they provide, if
any, and they can use to control labor. Under the universal hc system
they lose that control – they have to pay for whatever level of coverage
the state or the voters decide.<o:p></o:p></span></font></p>
