I'm no fan of religion, but
millions of people practice an entirely non-evil form of Islam.

A. al-Z: And millions of these people are in reality heretics. For example, a lot of Sufi lodges are exactly that. Most Muslims (especially the ones who believe in the candy-coated versionof Islam) don't understand Arabic and just chant the verses out without knowing what they are saying in the least.

DH: As long as they live in peace with their neighbors, it's between them, their friends and family, and their fictional god.

A. al-Z: And how long will that "peace" last Doug? WIll it last as long as the "peace' in
Australia, or Birmingham or Paris or Malmo, Sweden as well as hundreds of other places? Ever heard of the Prophet's treaties with his enemies? Ever heard of the Treaty of Hudaiyba? Sorry, Doug. There are no peace treaties one can expect Muslims to abide by forever. There is only truce. The Muslim record (that they've written themselves) will attest to that.

DH: I don't really welcome people going on here about the "evil of Islam."

A. al-Z: I really don't give two hoots what you think at this stage in regards to that. You've provided a forum for apologists of Islam to spread their lies and I'm here to challenge them on those lies. If you're comfortable with that then get used to me and others who feel the same way I do.

DH: You sound like some raving nutter in the Pentagon.

A. al-Z: That's how I felt about people who were anti-Islamic in their worldviews back in the late 70's. The problem with the "raving nutters" is that they are absolutely
bang on on their views of Islam. The paradox is that many of these "raving nutters" are dead wrong in just about anything else outside of Islam so it's easy to view them as monomaniacal and leave it at that.

I have met "raving nutters" in the Pentagon back in the day and they were heavily ostracized. Now they're looking like wise sages with the predictions they had about the implosion of Islam. Many of these people are exceptionally knowedgeable about Islam and warned about Saudi funding of mosques on a global scale. Did anybody take notice? You know the answer.

Now if you want to promote your candy coated views on Islam and expect them to stand the light of day then go to the FFI forums. You might get dogpiled by really weird rightwingers but it's not the end of the world. Even if it is the end of your take on the so-called "religion of
peace".

</dhenwood@panix.com></ddclaxton@earthlink.net></infidelinfinity@yahoo.com></dredmond@efn.org></infidelinfinity@yahoo.com></infidelinfinity@yahoo.com></lbo-talk@lbo-talk.org></dhenwood@panix.com>
