What's up with that ? ^^^^ To a large extent that question has already been answered. Nietzsche arguably had lots of ideas that are useful to leftists. The geneology of morals seems to be quite compatible with a historical materialist analysis of morality. Nietzche's critique of retributivism has much appeal to leftists (with the notable exception of Andie), his recognition of the "will to power", taken as a sociological or pyschological contruct, seems rather useful too. Also, many of Nietzsche's Bolshevik admirers were drawn to his ideal of the superman, which they democratized.
