AFAICT there are attractive alternatives to driving in NYC - and yet you came against making driving more unattractive in that specific area. That means that you either (a) are not serious making the above claim or (b) you do not believe that there are attractive alternatives to driving in NYC.
I do not suspect you of (a), so I conclude it must be (b). Could you thus explain what specifically you consider to be such an attractive alternative, and how such an alternative is different from "wanting it all" that you just denied that your harbor?
