[WS:] I think they asked a wrong question - whether a racially charged image should be on the home page of a public television station. The answer to that question is always "no" regardless of who the artist is and what his/her intentions are. Context is everything. Putting such images in the context of an art exhibit dedicated to racial stereotypig is one thing, but putting it on a home page of a publicly funded broadcasting company is an altogether different isse. Home page is like an identifying mark that creates the first impression and introduces (or repels) the potential reader. Putting a potentially offensive image on that page may turn away potential viewers - thus having an opposite effect tothat intended. Not to mention giving a false impression of a publicly funded entity.
