Now, now, don't get carried away... that crack was worthy of at least a nine-year-old. Anyway, sorry.
JC:
>And "distributionism" is an actual thing, not a word you just made up.
>Is it actually what you're talking about?
JG:
Well, well... it seems that not only do I have a talent for intemperate outbursts on-line, but also for free association. What I meant was a variety of politics that implies a more equitable division of the surplus, and questions not at all the cultural bankruptcy or ecological unviability of the social order upon which the surplus is founded. I dunno, these days union struggles -- and even moreso, intra-movement squabbles -- seems like so much rearranging of the proverbial deck chair while the proverbial ocean liner is sinking. That's what I meant to say, and I could have said it more politely.
Thanks for the wikipedia link though, something to add to the lexicon.
