The University of KZN is now the most hostile one towards the left in the country, so this is not too much of a surprise. The Rector of this institution is a particularly nasty rightwing african nationalist, and you have no idea how poisonous this is. There is at the moment an exodus of academics, who are either choosing to leave or else are being pushed to leave. Nationalism stinks and african nationalism is no better than any other variant of it. SA is getting more and more deeply mired in this shit and the more these stupid nats prove themselves incapable of running a country and its institutions, the more Mugabe-like they become.
