From: "Gregg Stebben" <Gregg at eGregg.com> Date: August 22, 2008 7:52:36 AM EDT To: dhenwood at panix.com Subject: Interview author: HITLER...was FATHER of ISLAMIC TERRORISM??

Hi, Doug --

John Rothmann is a talk-show host for KGO Radio in San Francisco...

...and he is also the author of the new book called ICON OF EVIL.

In his new book, John traces the roots of our battle today against Islamofacist terrorism...

...back to World War II, Nazi Germany and Adolph Hitler.

Sound far-fetched?

Then consider this quote from Nazi Albert Speer about Adolph Hitler:

"I never saw him [Hitler] so worked up as toward the end of the war...

...when in a kind of delirium he [Hitler] pictured for himself and us the destruction of New York in a hurricane of fire.

He described the skyscrapers being turned into gigantic torches, collapsing upon one another, the glow of the exploding city illuminating the dark sky."

Suddenly, the historical link between Hitler and Nazi Germany and today's "War on Terror"...

...can be viewed from an entirely new perspective, right?

Here's the story:

In his book ICON OF EVIL...

...author and KGO/San Francisco radio host John Rothmann stares evil in the eye...

...and then pierces it by linking today's greatest terrorist threats to the most evil man of the 20th century, Adolph Hitler.

But why is this relevant today?

Because as John Rothmann will describe in this interview...

...it is very easy to draw an unbroken line of continuity and terror from Hitler to the PLO's Yasser Arafat to Osama bin Laden and the 9/11 bombers to the leader in Iran today, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

And in this interview, here are the kinds of questions you might ask:

• In your new book, ICON OF EVIL, you suggest that the roots of today's Islamic terror actually go back to Hitler and Nazi Germany. Hitler? The Nazis?? And a direct link to terrorism today???

This sounds far-fetched...can you explain?

• In your book, you talk about a high-ranking Islamic leader during World War II called "The Mufti"... ...and you call him "one of the Fathers of radical Islam" and "the George Washington" of the Palestinian movement.

Who is this guy, the "Mufti"?

And how come more of us haven't heard of him before?

• The Mufti was a religious leader and Islamic terrorism is a form of religious warfare... ...can you explain to us how the Mufti was able to use both religion and politics to inspire and motivate his followers to engage in Holy War?

• Okay, let's shift to the present: Is today's radical Islamic terrorism really a spin-off of the movement started by the Mufti back in World War II?

• Can you talk about the threat of Iran getting a nuclear bomb? And is there a connection between Iran's current leader and the Mufti, and even Hitler?

• And can you talk about our two presumptive candidates for US president... ...do you think John McCain and Barack Obama are focusing enough attention on today's threat of Islamic terrorism?

• Why do you think both McCain and Obama... ...are dodging the issue of the threat of Islamic terrorism?

• Last question: For our listeners who would like to buy your book, can you tell us where to find it?

(John's book is called ICON OF EVIL, and it's available at amazon.com and bookstores nationwide)

And here's some background info about John Rothmann:

In addition to being a talk-show host on ABC-affiliated KGO 810-AM Newstalk Radio in San Francisco...

...John Rothmann also serves on the faculty of the Fromm Institute at the University of San Francisco.

As an author, teacher, archivist and political consultant...

...he has lectured on American politics and the presidency and the Middle East throughout the United States, Canada, and Israel.
