He's such a remarkable essayist, I've spent an embarrassing amount of
internet time reading everything I can find on the subject of his
actual identity. It seems pretty clear he's John Dolan. Right? I've
read some of Dolan's other stuff, it's not quite as great, but it's
pretty good. He recently wrote something for the new exile about a
recent bout of extreme poverty he and his wife faced, it was a
spectacular piece. Really don't understand why he and the War Nerd
don't have a higher profile in the writing world. If I was Harpers
I'd be banging his door down with offers.
