Engels wrote a couple of letters about it. There are hints here and there, but nothing full-on. That I have found.

^^^^^ CB: Engels wrote encyclopedia articles on military science and the '"history of force". He fought as an artillery officer in the revolutionary war of 1848. One of his nicknames was "The Colonel".
