But I'm serious about Israel sealing its doom as a colonialist state. You can get away with blockades for decades (just look at US policy vis-a-vis Cuba or Iraq). But as Gary Brecher I'm sure will soon point out, using F-16s to take out police stations is a colossal strategic blunder. It's an utterly short-term, pointless media stunt, which changes nothing on the ground. And it is precisely what Hamas wants. You'll never kill enough people to make a military or demographic difference -- but you will piss off the EU and Russia, and accelerate the arrival of Hezbollah II.
