This little blurb is from their website which has a section on crime and incarceration.

"America's incarceration binge partly attributed to unprecedented crime rates during the 1980s is the driving force behind the growing national problem of children with a parent in prison or jail."

I believe most measures of crime fell from 1980 to 1989 but increased from 1970 to 1979 so referring to the crime rate in the 1980's as "unprecedented" seems strange.

I especially liked these two of their primary objectives.

1. Enhance the abilities and commitment of unemployed or low-income fathers to provide material support for their families and to avoid or leave welfare programs 2. Improve fathers' ability to effectively manage family business affairs

I really have to question the ability of this program to make any meaningful difference in people's lives. There is no causation addressed on this site that I saw while glancing through it. In an unstated way this site seems to be offering the position that poor parenting is the cause of many social ills but that social ills themselves have little effect on individuals choices. It is purely a one way street. People making bad choices and who can choose to change their bad ways if only they want to.
