LBOsters,

If you like (leftist) political rock that is not thrash or hardcore and has audible, intelligent lyrics, check out Brit post-punk old schoolers New Model Army, coming to a town near you, by all means!

Tour dates: http://www.newmodelarmy.org/fhome.htm -- I got my tix for Austin, March 28 show, for only $12 apiece.

Here's their "Spirit of the Falklands," for ex., a great song:

FYI: NMA were denied visas to US a few years back, leading to a canceled tour. A great unwritten story in the music press is about how many bands, since the Patriot Act, have actually been denied entry to the US for performing. You'd think it'd be chic for bands to say "We're Banned in the USA!", '77 punk style, right? But I've seen little talk of this. Inepsy from Canada, for example, cannot get entry to play in the US and many Japanese bands can tour Canada but not the US.
