Obama can pick Edwards. He can't pick Clinton since that would undermine his work to date. Hillary can pick Edwards for the same reason. This gives the black man or the woman a nice white male face to help their electability. I think this may have been the reason Edwards left before Tuesday, a deal to be VP.
