[WS:] Based on my nonscientific observations of Baltimore, the high end residential projects have a really hard time lately, and some of them were even abandoned. In Baltimore this is a bad thing as this run-down city was counting on the housing boom to rebuild itself.

Judging from the number of day laborers waiting for work near my house - this group of workers must have been hit rather hard by the slump in construction. The are used be mostly clear of waiting workers by 8AM, which indicates that most of them were hired by that time. Right now, at least 100+ people hang out there in the morning, and I did not see that many pickups.
