oh yeah. shoulda said: i was looking at precinct and city/county level data. so, when you look, yeah, that's where it's the opposite of the voting pattern here. this is like an oasis in the midst of the cult of the dead guy on a stick.
i'm going to get one of those precinct level maps fro that dude's blog, blow it up, and draw a big heart around my city. i love it.
one thing I've noticed: the voter turnout for predominantly black neighborhoods was big in my area. in other words, where it was down to 22-18% of registered voters in 60% white areas, it was 25=30% of registered voters in 40-30-20% white areas.
