In which case he learned nothing from the Judeocide. Nothing can, does or will ever justify the Iraqicide (1 million dead and counting).

This may sound odd, but these days I feel sympathy and sadness for ordinary Americans caught up in the wreckage of the US Empire's disintegration. They're really and truly being screwed by their Empire, on so many levels (housing bubble collapse, vanishing pensions, falling real wages, decrepit public services, exploding energy costs, an abysmal media system, a debased political class, no coherent renewable energy policy) that it's not funny. It could be that the expectations generated by the Obama campaign (not the same thing as the Dem machinery itself, mind you) is an intuitive, not quite conscious, vote against the Empire. If so, maybe a space is opening up for anti-Imperial social movements in this country, for the first time since the war on Vietnam.
