listening to glen ford on doug's radio show of a couple of weeks ago.
it hadn't occurred to me, but he's right: the reason why people are so focused on superficial differences is because there are no differences. hence, what he calls an "issuless" campaign. it's always issueless of course, but this year, even more so.
