I don't think it's fruitful to shift the discussion away from the arguments and try to infer the motivations of others. I doubt there's much usefulness to this kind of psychoanalytic speculation. One could easily flip the reasoning and say that it's
"Curious how the deeply embedded racism of US society seems to drive more than a few [White, non-Black, Black] people of an orthodox Marxist [or whatever] bent to enthusiastically (and in some cases almost maniacally) [reject] Obama [and the popular movement supporting him], even though [there's some evidence of the vigor of this movement and the accusations that Obama] denies the very existence of [...] racism [are patently false]! There's got to be a solveable sociological puzzle there. [Or maybe there's none.]"
It's much simpler if we just take each others' opinions at face value.
