Actually Chubais is a very talented person - and he agrees with the  thrust of Russia's current foreign policy and sides with the economic  liberals in Putin's camp. Plus, and a big plus, he isn't building a  business empire - he is dismantling and privatizing Russia's utility  grid - and basically doing a good good job it. It is also important  that Chubais is no longer in politics (in an meaningful sense). 

  

  Chubais is not blacklisted either. He regularly appears in TV and he always speaks his mind.
